We accidentally took a detour

on the way back to my apartment in eastern Washington. Too bad it was night time because it was the scenic route. I did unexpectedly run into Wanapum Dam though.

Sorry for the lack of posts. I recently got a job as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst at a company called Intera in Richland, WA. We model the underground contamination at the Hanford Site. I've been trying to get moved in and now I'm finally starting to feel like I'm settled in. Strangely, it doesn't feel that odd living away from home for the first time in my life. I guess as much as my social side may sometimes consume me, inside I am always most content on my own. Needless to say, Seattle and the people there will always be my home and one day I will return there. In the meantime, the 3.5hr drive back isn't bad at all - even shorter than one of Frodo's movies (extended version, of course).

Though I'm busy furnishing the apartment (those of you who know me know that I pour all my energy into making my living space "me") and exploring the unexpected corners of the Tri-Cities, photography is and will continue to be my passion. As time permits I will not stop making photos and posting them here for you guys. Perhaps it's time to design a fresh new layout to start off my fresh new career - and a new chapter of my life.

After we went clubbing, everyone decided to go to Chinatown to eat. While heading back to the car at around 4AM, I realized that I locked my keys in the car. Luckily my friend had AAA membership so we called them to open the door for free. While we were waiting, 2 playful stray kittens came up to us. They were so tiny! I probably would have gotten rabies so I kept my distance :P
