Peter N.

meee

I am Peter Tan Nguyen, or in Vietnamese, Nguyễn Tấn Khoa. My last name is pronounced (sans accents): s i n g e t - s e e - s h t t e r - a i l .

I like photography. It all started with my first point and shoot right after high school. In truth, I'm still a beginner, but I try my hardest to develop what skills I have every day. You can help by leaving a comment for me to make my next photo better.

I live in Seattle, Washington, where I was also born and raised. I am a recent University of Washington graduate. I studied Geographic Information Systems there, a field I have a growing passion for. Other things that I enjoy: Soymilk, playing piano, persimmons, automatic hand dryers, the metropolitan city and Joe Hisaishi.

Neatmess.com was completely revamped for this photoblog and was launched on May 8, 2007. Coded and designed from Notepad and Adobe Photoshop, it runs on Pixelpost and is fully W3C compliant xHTML 1.0 transitional. I put effort into making this site truly cross-browser compatible, but let me know if something is not working out for you. The pattern design at the top of each page is from a desktop wallpaper designed by j3conecpts. The AJAX contact form found below was created by Dustin Diaz.

All photos are by me, Peter Nguyen. You are free to use my work under the compliance of this Creative Commons license (Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Unported), with credit given to Peter Nguyen.

Gear

Canon Rebel XTi 400d

Canon EOS 400d / Digital Rebel XTi w/grip
Canon Powershot S50
Tamron 17-50mm f2.8
Canon 50mm f1.8

For light traveling, I carry everything in a Crumpler 5 Million Dollar Home bag. For more gear intensive shoots, I have a Naneu Pro Military Ops Alpha photo backpack. A Manfrotto 190XPROB tripod with 488RC2 ballhead keeps my camera nice and steady. My next lens will hopefully be the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM.
