As a child, I remember shoe shopping with my dad every three months. He'd squeeze the tip of my shoe to check when my toes had reached the edge and then off to the mall we went. Not until now, long after he's gone, that I appreciate the amazement a father could have felt that his boy was growing.
"We all used to be three years old. That three year old kid is still a part of you. You saw everything you've seen for the first time once, too. So there was a time when it was your first time ever hitting a string of green lights all the way home from work." Keep that inner three year old alive and just appreciate everything. We've all seen sunsets countless times before. But I give you yet another. Appreciate it like the first time.
